Ed Viesturs finally bagged his final 8000er this morning, getting to the summit of Annapurna. He’s the first American to nail all 14 (and now we have to wait and see if he will be the first American to summit all 14 AND get back down). Viesturs website doesn’t have the report yet. But Explorer’s Web does because they’ve been in sat phone contact with the Italian team (annoying Flash site warning) that led the way, fixing ropes and doing all the hard work…
